Privacy.

Methods is a free reference. It has no accounts, payments or newsletter, and it doesn't require any personal information. The only thing you can choose to send is feedback.

What Methods collects

Methods has no sign-up and no mailing list. The one form on the site is the optional feedback form described below. The site doesn't currently include analytics or advertising tracking code, such as Google Analytics or Vercel Analytics.

Methods is set up with Google Search Console, a tool for the site owner to see how the site appears in Google Search. It works from Google's own search data and doesn't add any tracking code to this site.

Like any website, it is served by a hosting provider, and your browser sends the usual technical details with each request, such as your IP address, browser type and the page you asked for. Hosting providers commonly keep logs of this kind for operating and securing their service.

Feedback you send

You can send feedback from the button at the bottom right of any page. It's voluntary. Your name and email are optional, and you can send feedback without either. If you give an email address, it is only used to reply when a reply seems appropriate.

With your message, Methods also sends the address and title of the page you were on and the time you sent it, so the feedback makes sense. It doesn't collect your browsing history or anything else about your visit for this purpose.

Feedback is processed by Formspree, a third-party form service. Your browser sends it directly to Formspree, which delivers it to the site owner as an email. Methods does not keep a feedback database. Submissions may be retained in Formspree's systems, and copies may remain in the owner's mailbox, according to their retention practices. Feedback is used to improve Methods and, when appropriate, to respond to you. It isn't used for marketing, and your name and email aren't added to a mailing list or sold. Please don't include sensitive personal information in your message.

Third-party services

Methods is hosted on Vercel, which handles those requests and applies its own privacy practices. Fonts and other assets are served from Methods itself, not from a separate font provider.

Feedback is handled by Formspree, which applies its own privacy practices and may use its own spam filtering on what is submitted.

Links to other websites, including the sources on the Sources page, lead to services with their own policies.

Cookies and local storage

Methods doesn't set cookies. It saves your light or dark theme choice in your browser's local storage so the site looks the way you left it. That value stays on your device.

How information is used

Technical information is used only to deliver, secure and maintain the site. Feedback is used as described above. Methods doesn't sell personal information, including contact details you send with feedback.

Updates

If Methods changes in a way that affects privacy, such as adding analytics tracking code, this page will be updated first. Last updated November 4, 2026.
